XIONMarkets is an AMM-powered prediction market that aims to facilitate and enhance decentralized predictions against events, sentiments, or activities within and beyond the XION Blockchain ecosystem. It is designed to offer a fluid and secure user experience powered by an elegant state-of-the-art user interface.
Users trade 'Yes' and 'No' shares associated with distinct markets listed on the platform and the markets almost accurately represent 'popular' opinions and market sentiments. Trades are made solely with USDC.
Each time a user buys shares for a given outcome, say 'Yes', the price of that outcome increases in proportion to the volume traded, while the other (No) reduces.
The AMM is implemented via the Constant Product Formula (CPF):
As a result, the platform's asset pricing is automatically defined based on a demand-based trading approach.
Users are classified into two distinct categories:
Traders: They buy and sell shares within the various markets on the platform. Every trade offers them a PNL (either positive or negative). Furthermore, they claim rewards in USDC at the end of every resolution period provided their predicted outcomes stand.
Liquidity Providers (LP): They provide liquidity on markets to facilitate trading on the platform in return for liquidity pool shares. These shares can then be withdrawn in exchange for fees earned from trades made within the pools or tokens accrued due to a rise in their volumes.
